The Minor Injury and Illness Service at Arbroath Infirmary has moved to a new area in the hospital.
The public still must call 111 before attending – but the team are in their new location and ready to welcome patients.
The Minor Injury and Illness Service in Arbroath Infirmary attends to suspected broken bones and fractures, cuts, minor burns, sprains and strains that you cannot treat at home.
Catherine Carrie, Senior Nurse for Urgent and Unscheduled Primary Care in Angus said, “We have an amazing Minor Injury and Illness team who are specially trained and committed to provide the best possible care to our patients and our community.
“In most cases we are able to treat people quickly and appropriately so they can return home, but there are times when we need to transfer people to the emergency department because they are very unwell.
“Please remember that you cannot drop in to the service without an appointment. You should always call 111 before attending Minor Injury and Illness Services to ensure you are appointed to the most appropriate place to receive care.”
