Bus services run by Stagecoach in Angus are due for a shakeup according to proposed plans published on Angus Councils website. After asking for consultation at the end of February, Stagecoach have now released the changes they propose to make on the 29th of April.

Included in the changes is the reduction of the X7 service that currently runs between Perth Royal Infirmary to Aberdeen being cut back to only operate between Aberdeen and Seagate bus station in Dundee. Some of the changes are listed below.
- Service 21 – Reduced resulting in fewer services calling at Forfar Community Campus.
- Service 30 – Between Arbroath and Stracathro Hospital being withdrawn and replaced with service 40.
- Service 30a – Renumbered to service 30 and timetable cuts resulting in a later start time and earlier finish time.
- Service 39 – Increased frequency between Arbroath and Dundee to partially replace the X7 to Ninewells.
- Service 40 – New service serving Arbroath to Stracathro/Edzell/Cragio via Ferryden Replacing Both Service 30 and Service 47.
- Service 47 – Withdrawn replaced by service 40. Services 47A and 47B are unaffected.
- X7 – Route is being cut short and no longer serving Dundee Rail station, Ninewells Hospital and Perth.
All proposed changes can be viewed on the Angus Councils website here and you can email feedback, comments and queries to PLNTransport@angus.gov.uk Stagecoach intend to alter these services and others on the 29th April 2024.
