Work to upgrade facilities at Brechin Health Centre has now started and is expected to last until March 2021.
The Health Centre has already benefited from new windows and work is due to begin to repair the building’s roof. Once this is completed, the reception and administration areas will be upgraded and will feature a new fully wheelchair accessible reception counter.
Practice Development Manager Wendi Lees, said, “We are delighted to get our refurbishment work underway. Everyone in the team is looking forward to seeing the end result.
“We understand that this might cause some disruption but we would like to reassure our patients that this will be kept to a minimum.
“Our end goal is to create an inviting space for both our patients and staff which they will benefit from for years to come.”
Dr Sal Malik, Professional Clinical Development Lead for 2c Practices in Tayside, said, “These works form only part of an extensive redevelopment programme for Brechin Health Centre. It is hoped that the improved working environment will not only be more appealing and comfortable for patients and staff alike, but also help with staff recruitment and retention.”
