Online tools help people in Angus live independently at home for longer

Older people living in Angus are to benefit from a range of new online tools that will empower them to live independently.

Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has launched Independent Living Angus, a free online self-assessment platform which provides professional advice to help people live in their own homes for as long as possible.

The self-assessment will help people to be matched with life improving solutions, such as safety advice, information on relevant groups and organisations or purchasing equipment. Family members and carers can also make a referral, provided they have permission.

Independent Living Angus also helps people to build a healthy ageing plan using an app which allows people to see how they are ageing, and access advice so they can maintain or improve their abilities. The free LifeCurve™ app asks people a series of questions about their day-to-day activities to work out their very own personalised plan to encourage healthy ageing.
