Minute Silence for NHS and Social Care Staff

NHS CHARITIES TOGETHER – MINUTE SILENCE REMEMBERING NHS HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE STAFF EVENT AT NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM IN STAFFORDSHIRE – FRIDAY 11 MARCH 2022 AT 11AM.

There will be a minute’s silence on Friday 11th March at 11am to mark health and social care worker sacrifices on this second anniversary of the declaration of the pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

NHS Tayside Chair Mrs Lorna Birse-Stewart said, “during the past two years our health and social care staff, both in our hospitals and across our communities, have demonstrated such care and compassion in responding to the unprecedented challenges and increasing demands of the pandemic.”

“Fri 11th March at 11am provides us all with an opportunity to come together for a minute’s silence to pay tribute to our NHS and social care staff who have tragically lost their lives, and to their families. I hope the whole nation will fall silent in tribute and remembrance to recognise their contribution.”

NHS Tayside Non-Executive Director and Tayside Health Fund Trustee Mrs Trudy McLeay was nominated to attend the NHS Charities Together hosted event at the National Memorial Arboretum in Lichfield and will be accompanied by Mrs Pauline Craw (retired NHS Tayside staff member).  Mrs Trudy McLeay and Mrs Pauline Craw will be the only attendees from Scotland.
