Get boosted by 2022

Get ‘boosted by the bells’

NHS Tayside is encouraging members of the public to get ‘boosted by the bells’ by booking a booster appointment or coming along to a drop-in sessions before the New Year.

Public Health Vaccination Programme Director Lynne Hamilton said, “We have already delivered around 220,000 COVID boosters so far which is a great effort from all the teams involved in the programme and all those who have rolled up their sleeves so far.

“Our vaccination teams are continuing to work hard to deliver the booster programme and we have made more appointments available to help people get their jabs as early as possible.

“We want everyone to get the extra protection offered by the booster this winter so please make sure you book an appointment or come along to a drop-in clinic as soon as you can.”

Anyone over 18, or over 16 in an at-risk group, can have their booster 12 weeks after their second dose.  There are appointments available right across Tayside between now and Hogmanay so if you are eligible, book now at www.nhsinform.scot/vaccinebooking or call 0800 030 8013.

Drop-in sessions will also continue to run over the festive period for boosters, as well as first doses for over 12s and second doses for over 18s.  If you have a January appointment booked already, please consider rescheduling for December or attending a drop in as this will help give you the protection you need, as early as possible.
