Angus vaccination centres to relocate as pace of programme ramps up in Tayside

From Monday, 7 June, the vaccination centres will relocate to Arbroath Community Centre, Reid Hall in Forfar and Montrose Town Hall. The vaccination clinic at Stracathro Hospital will continue.

The community vaccination centres in Arbroath, Forfar and Montrose are relocating to larger venues to allow NHS Tayside to carry out more vaccinations and increase the pace of the programme.

In line with the latest national guidance, NHS Tayside is currently reviewing its clinic schedules to bring forward second doses and offer appointments to anyone in the first priority groups who has not yet had a first dose. This is in addition to inviting those in the final age groups for their first vaccination.

As more outpatient appointments are now taking place, there is less available space at Arbroath Infirmary, Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre and Links Health Centre. NHS Tayside has worked closely with Angus Council and Voluntary Action Angus to identify and set up these alternative venues which can accommodate the increased number of vaccinations.
