Angus Council – Forthcoming Roadworks

A programme of roadworks, which will include repairs, surface dressing and other essential roads maintenance, is set to get underway in various parts of Angus from next Monday (6 July).

Monday 6 July –

Work will begin on the A926 Airlie, Baikie junction to Philipie junction. It will be supported by Stop/Go signage or portable traffic lights between 8am and 4pm. Vehicles and pedestrians are asked to be aware of the work and that there may be some short delay at intervals. The work will be for one day and local access will be maintained. Surface dressing will take place in this area later this summer and notice will be given locally.

Carriageway repairs will begin on the U310 Gateside Road, Inverarity and are scheduled to last for about three days. The road will be closed while work is carried out, with a diversion in place via the B9127 and A90. There may be some intermittent delays but local access will be maintained. Surface dressing will take place later this summer, supported by Stop/Go traffic management signs, and will extend from the A90 junction to Inverarity Village entrance.

Tuesday 7 July –

Essential maintenance work will begin on the B955 at Dykehead. It will be undertaken between 8am and 4pm and be undertaken in one day. It will be supported by Stop/Go signage and please be aware there may be short delays at intervals. Local access will be maintained. Surface dressing from the south to north of the village will take place in this area later this summer and notice will be given locally.

Wednesday 8 July –

There will be a day’s work at the A935, Dun House and Broomley, with the support of Stop/Go signs or portable traffic lights between 8am and 4pm. There may be short delays at intervals for pedestrians and traffic and local access will be maintained. Surface dressing will take place in this area later this summer and notice will be given locally. This work will extend from C35 Dun junction to Angus Nurseries and West Broomley to Broomley House.

Thursday 9 July –

Carriageway patching repairs will be undertaken on the U410 Glen Ogil Blackpot Bridge to Goynd junction and is scheduled to last for approximately three days (excluding the weekend). The road will be close while work is carried out but local access will be maintained. Surface dressing will take place here later this summer and notice will be given locally.

Work will also be carried out on the U479 Braehead of Lunan to A92 junction with the movement of pedestrians and vehicles restricted by a two-day road closure. Local access will be maintained. Surface dressing will take place here later this summer, extending from A92 junction to C45 to Lunan junction and notice will be given locally.

All work is being carried out by Tayside Contracts and schedules is weather permitting. There may be some inconvenience caused by the works and Angus Council would like to thank road users in advance for their patience and cooperation while the work proceeds.
