Angus Council has launched today (Thursday 11 February) a new phone line to support parents and carers who are concerned about their child during lockdown.
The council’s Educational Psychology Service will be available two days a week for parents and carers who would like to talk through any concerns about their child’s education and/or wellbeing, over and above what might be discussed with school.
Angus Council’s Children and Learning Convener, Councillor Derek Wann said: “These are difficult times for everyone, but particularly hard on some children. If any parents and carers whose child goes to a school in Angus are worried about how their child is managing and needs to talk to someone, please give the service a call.”
The helpline number is 01307 494736 and is open on Tuesday mornings between 9.00am and 12.00pm and Thursday afternoons between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
